• Nafs: You should study...
• Me: I must study.
• Nafs: Aren't you sleepy?
• Me: I must eat.
• Nafs: You're fat.
• Me: I must work out.
• Nafs: Aren't you hungry?
• Me: Why are you always contradicting me?
• Nafs: I'm only distracting you from the things which you should be doing. By obeying me - even if by doing so you are not sinning, rather you are simply not doing what you're supposed to be doing - you grow weak. It makes my control over you more powerful. That is what I want.
